Monastery Hotel

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are nicely done. We stayed in the superior king suite. There was a fireplace and a jetted tub. The bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast in the Monastery Bistro and it was delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming.

This is a great hotel within walking distance of downtown St John's. We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were very quiet. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. Jackie was quick to look entertainment for us on George St. We turned on our TV one morning to find out it wasn't working properly. I mentioned it to Ashley at the front desk. She said if you have a moment, I will take a look at it right now. She found the previous guest had disconnected a cable so he could plug in his own device, she fixed it in just a few minutes. The Bistro restaurant was great for breakfast. Great staff with great service. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit.

Such a beautiful tranquil location. Quiet and a perfect space for inner healing. 20 minute walk to downtown where you can stroll through the neighborhood and down onto the main streets. It was such a fun trip and the perfect hotel for my stay! The staff here are exceptional and caring. I felt they went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I will be back to treasure more memories! Also my room was massive and that was certainly unexpected, bed was comfy and the jacuzzi tub is what dreams are made of. Plus, I'm looking forward to researching this fascinating heritage building more in my spare time.

Overall a decent stay. Rooms clean, and decent amenities. Concierge was pleasant and knowledgeable. They were strict on check in time at 15:00 and not earlier, which was disappointing but at least able to hold our luggage in storage. Strongly recommend not using Jiffy Cab as a referral service as the cab company was HORRIBLE! Location is a tiny bit from downtown but we found that to be ok as quiet and gave opportunity for a walk. Value is fair.

We had a great stay. Room was comfortable and the staff were great. Huge shout out to Jane in the restaurant. She was amazing! So kind and sweet. She wrote down a list of restaurants to check out. We adored her!

Why husband and I recently stayed at the Monastery Suites for two nights and we very happy with our stay. The staff were friendly, the suite was spacious and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals at the Bistro. We’ll be back for sure!

The room was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. The jacuzzi was just right. Unfortunately, I was told upon check in that a breakfast was included. When we arrived in your bistro we were asked about vouchers. I was never told or offered a voucher so we were told that our breakfast wasn't included. If I was informed properly upon check in I would have purchased any vouchers needed. As such I was to unhappy to pay for any breakfast. Besides this, the stay was wonderful.

Had a late flight and still was able to get situated without missing a beat. Front desk was available so I could access my room. Hot tub worked great and was a relief after long travel day. Easy walk to George St for restaurants but away from noise. Had a lightning storm on my last night, but felt safe and was able to get my 7:15 AM flight out.
